Cade's First Pinewood Derby!

Now that Cade is a scout he was able to participate in his first Pinewood Derby in March!

Dan and Cade spent a lot of time together designing, cutting, sanding, and painting.

After all the hard work, they were both ready to see how it would do!

Our pack had a neat metal pinewood derby track, and started with a round robin tournament. This gave all the kids a lot of chances to see their car race. The top 8 cars went on to a bracket tournament. Cade was in the top 8!!

Now the top 8 cars raced. Cade made it all the way to the finals and ended up in 2nd place! Not bad for his first Pinewood Derby!!

 After the derby they handed out scout awards, and Cade finished his Wolf Badge requirements!
