Last day of school!

Today is the last day of school and I thought it would be fun to compare pictures of the first day and last day! Both of my boys have grown SO much this year.

First Day

Last Day!

Now summer can begin, and we hope to keep busy enough to not drive each other crazy!

Days 10, 11 and 12

I shouldn't commit to a daily posting. I just can't keep up!

Day 10- Stars

The stars weren't out that night, but I knew I was headed to Castle Rock the next day so I snapped a picture of the famous star on top of Castle Rock.

Day 11- Smile

Who couldn't smile when you're having ice cream?

Day 12- Mother

Here is my lovely mother who we got to spend the day with yesterday to celebrate Mother's Day. Happy Mother's day everyone! More pictures from our day at Castle Rock to come later :)

Day 9

Day 9- Snack!

You guys, this stuff is SO addictive! I've never been one to say 'Oh, I could eat the whole bag!', but not anymore. It doesn't help that it comes in a kinda small bag to begin with, so I really could eat the whole thing. My kids even like it, and that's saying something. But that also means I have to share it....

Day 7

Day 7- Begins with "F"

Pikes Peak is lovely in the background!

Fun with Friends! Today a group of us met at the America the Beautiful park in Colorado Springs, and we enjoyed exploring a new place to play

Day 6

Day 6- Broken

Kids will be kids, they say. But did they warn you about kids being monkeys? Or pretending to be monkeys? This is what happens when you swing from the 'vines' in your house. Broken curtain rods and broke piggy banks. No allowance for April or May for our two monkeys.

BTW we have since repaired the holes in the wall and got a new curtain rod, but haven't put it up yet.

Day 4 and 5

Day 4- In my cup

see day 2... yum...

Day 5- Paper

Yikes. I was almost afreaid to share this picture, but I'm keeping it real here. This is my current paper stash. I am a paper crafter. Paper is my means of creating. I scrapbook, make cards, craft with the kids, and create cute things for my house. There is a strange order to my mess, and I've been using my scraps very efficiently. I always search through there first before cutting into a brand new sheet of paper.

Recently my sister and I were chosen as affiliates for Silhouette, and this month they sent me their new paper medium, chipboard. I get it for free, get to craft with it, share it with our viewers and offer them a discount. Pretty dang cool if you ask me!

Day 3

Day 3- My morning routine

Most mornings our routine goes like this:

  • Dan leaves for PT
  • Kids wake up for school
  • Cade goes to school
  • Dan comes back from PT
  • Dan makes us a yummy breakfast!
That's right folks, my hubby cooks bacon and eggs almost every morning. I often wonder if our house consistently smells of bacon? It's worth it to me. We get our eggs from the local dairy and they are SO good.  AND it fills me up until lunch time, super bonus!

Day 2

Day 2- This is good!

One novelty we loved in Korea was that they offered glass bottled sodas. They tasted so much better than other sodas, and we figured out why! Glass bottled Coke has REAL sugar instead of the high fructose corn syrup. SO good. And guess what we found at Costco? 24 packs of glass Coke for $18.99. Sa-weet!

A photo a day in May! Day #1

I came across this list of things to take a picture of and share every day in May. I usually find these things in the middle of the month and then it's too late to participate, but not this time!

Day 1- Something I bought

We're still so excited to be homeowners, and can't believe we made that huge step in our lives. We don't regret it a bit!
