Alex's Baptism

Alex has always been enthusiastic about church and when it came time to make the choice to be baptized it was an easy one for him. He definitely has a testimony of the gospel and he shares it sweetly.

I felt lucky to have my entire family come for the baptism, because usually it's lots of McBrides in our house. This time my mom, dad, brother and sister were all under one roof! Dan's parents also were able to come, making this a very special time for Alex.

I have only very happy and sweet memories of the baptism. It was a very nice program followed by an awesome BBQ at our house. We love entertaining and feeding people and it was so nice to have everyone's support of Alex's baptism.

In the days after the baptism we were able to go see a movie together, swim in the hotel pool, attend church, bbq some more, roast s'mores, play cornhole, visit the royal gorge bridge and tour manitou springs. What a fun time with family that we don't get to see often!!

Photo Time! (and lots of 'em)

Alex got a camera as a baptism present and I just love seeing the day through Alex's eyes!

Pictures my family took!

ROYAL GORGE BRIDGE

Here are Alex's pics first. There was a fire on Ft. Carson that we drove past on our way to Canon City.

Me driving!

Here are my pics-

The bridge has all the state flags on it, so Cade posed by Idaho, where he was born.

I loved this water clock!

Alex was pulled up on stage during the magic show, he was sooo cute!

Our home was awfully quiet when everyone left. Thanks to everyone who came to visit and came to the baptism to support Alex, he was very appreciative and so are we!!
